Lincoln: The Movie

Here’s the trailer for the new Lincoln film. Looks pretty good. Daniel Day-Lewis is one of our best actors. And Spielberg is the best director of all time. It was also filmed (at least in part) in Richmond, my former stomping grounds. I do hope, though, that the movie has the Railsplitter cracking a few jokes. It wasn’t all somber moments of eloquence and grandeur. Given Spielberg’s success with Saving Private Ryan, I hope Lincoln will have a pulse-pounding battle sequence or two. The Civil War was not a PG-13-rated affair.
